Once again, just when it appeared that evolution was in trouble due to the complete lack of evidence in the fossil record and growing dissent even from secular scientists, evolutionists have come up with a miraculous new “missing link”! This time it’s a fossilized monkey skeleton from Germany, nicknamed “Ida”.
Scientists presented a special news conference yesterday in New York, revealing their research into what they are calling the “8th Wonder of the World”. This supposedly 47-million-year-old fossil is being hailed as the transitional species for which Darwin could not account, and without which he said his entire theory would break down.

Ida is bound to be big news before too long. The world has too much invested in Darwinian evolution to not take full advantage of the opportunity to force this down everyone’s throat. Do they have any actual proof that this fossil is what they say it is? Of course not! But when has that ever stopped anyone from assuming that evolution must be true?
This little monkey has already got a pretty cool website. A feature-length documentary will be premiered on the History channel this Monday, and will go worldwide via the BBC on Tuesday. I’m sure it will be spectacularly made and presented quite convincingly.
All this hoopla has me wondering if it’s too soon to start the countdown until Ida is proven to be a fraud? After all, there have been plenty of other “missing links” before that have turned out to have been either incorrectly identified or outright hoaxes. Somehow they still end up in every new addition of our science textbooks, and I’m sure Ida will be no different.
Take Lucy, for example. Up until now, she has been the most famous and oft-referenced “transitional” fossil ever discovered. She even appears in our ancestry as listed on Ida’s website! Yet Lucy has long since been uncovered as “imagination made of plaster of paris“. For a more in-depth look at the Lucy conspiracy, check out this video series.
I’m sure most of you will also recognize Ernst Haeckel’s famous embryo drawings that still somehow appear in textbooks as proof of evolution, despite proof that they are wildly inaccurate.
And in case that wasn’t enough proof for you, here’s an example of what a human REALLY looks like as it grows in the womb (courtesy of a thing called “technology”, something Haeckel never had):

My beautiful 33-week-old baby!

Take that, Darwin!
I am sometimes amazed that there are still people who actually believe in evolution, despite all the blatant lies that have been foisted upon us in the name of “science”… but then I remember that we live in an increasingly anti-intellectual culture, and that I shouldn’t be surprised at all. Most of us would rather just believe what we are told because it’s easier than looking into it for ourselves.
But for Heaven’s sake, can’t we at least let some more people get a good look at this thing before we proclaim it the greatest thing since the big bang? So far, Ida has been studied only by a select few paleontologists who have had “exclusive” access to the remains. (Interestingly enough, this team is led by the same scientist who recently dug up the remains of Predator X!) I am quite curious to see how Ida holds up to peer review and analysis by other scientists…
I’m just getting a little tired of all the straw-grasping and conclusion-jumping that is going on today. Are we really that eager to believe that we are descended from monkeys? Is that thought really more comforting than being formed in the womb by a loving Creator (which, by the way, has a whole lot more in the way of supporting evidence than does Darwinian evolution)? I am thankful to know that I have NOT evolved from a lemur.
That is the worst idea I’ve ever heard in my life.
