FUGE Day 1

Don’t have too much to report from our first day at FUGE. As usual, we spent most of the first day going over rules and schedules and registration… exciting stuff! Today will be a little more exciting, as all of the students go to their ministry tracks for the first time. As for me, I’ll be driving one of three vans from a large M-FUGE group to a recreation center in Greenville. The campers (about 30) will be leading about 130 local kids in a VBS-type day of activities. Primarily story-telling, arts & crafts, and games & recreation. Should be interesting… but I’m looking forward to it!

On the personal front, Laurie and I aren’t missing the baby nearly as much as I’d feared we would. We got to talk to him on the phone for a little while, and from the sounds of it, he’s having too much fun with Grandma & Papaw to miss us at all! I’m glad he didn’t get too upset at our leaving. That makes it easier to be away. We’ll be more than ready to see him again come Saturday, though!

Thanks for your prayers.
