Blessed Yom Kippur

Today, Jews celebrate Yom Kippur, which means “Day of Atonement”. It is their holiest day of the year. Though Christians believe that Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection made atonement for our sins, making Yom Kippur unnecessary, it is good for us to understand the Jewish teaching about atonement. After all, if we believe that Christ was the final fulfillment of the promises of the Old Testament, shouldn’t we know what it is that He fulfilled?

SourceFlix has released a great video today about the meaning of the “sacrificial lamb” in Judaism. It’s well worth the investment of nine minutes of your time to watch this!
