Classical Rhetoric 101: A Brief History — This is the second in an ongoing series on rhetoric (here’s the first). In addition to being an invaluable tool for effective communication and influencing others, it is one of the three phases of the “Trivium”, which is the basis for the classical model of education. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series!

The New Testament’s Use of Old Testament Prophecy As Kevin DeYoung points out, the way NT authors quote OT passages can be very confusing. He gives us some principles for making sense of the Apostles’ interpretation of familiar passages that we hear all the time, but particularly during the Christmas season.
