Robots Evolve Altruism — A Swiss experiment with robots found that after hundreds of generations, these robots seem to have “evolved” a sense of altruism, learning to help each other in their search for “food”. I suppose this is meant to show how humans could have evolved to demonstrate things like sharing, accounting for a sense of natural law and morality without a transcendent Creator and lawgiver. Of course, all this fails to account for the fact that these robots were themselves designed and programmed by intelligent creators, and set into a very ordered environment…
