Bursting the “Filter Bubble” — This is a nine minute video, but it’s definitely worth watching. Eli Pariser speaks about the dangers of search engines and news feeds which filter results based on our preferences, past choices, and a variety of other criteria. We are at risk of no longer being challenged by opposing viewpoints, and inundated with “information junk food”. Very thought-provoking. Or, if you prefer to read rather than watch, TIME Magazine covers the same topic, and Pariser’s new book.0

Our School of Performing Arts recitals are coming up next week. I love watching kids make music! These brothers (who are not our students, though we also have some very talented kids) are 8, 12, and 13.
