Opera Software Responds to Oprah’s Mail — The Norwegian internet browser company has been receiving mail mistakenly addressed to them rather than to talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Rather than simply trash the letters, they decided to respond to them. Pretty funny stuff!

Advice for Slow Readers — It is undoubtedly a good thing to read more, but most people feel they don’t have time to read as much as they’d like to. These are some great suggestions, no matter how fast or slow you might read. I do all five of them, and it has greatly increased the number of books I get through.

Thinking Theologically About Memorial Day — Much as in July 4th weekend, many churches plan patriotic services for Memorial Day weekend. What are the theological implications for this? What is the proper balance between love of God and love of country? Read the whole thing, but these two quotes sort of sum it up: (1) “In making us for himself, God did mean to eradicate all other loves. Instead he wants those loves to be purer and in right proportion to our ultimate Love.” (2) “While patriotism can be good, the church is not a good place for patriotism.

Letting Herself Go — Do Christian women have an obligation to remain physically attractive to their husbands (and vice versa)?
